Design - Supply Philosophy:

At Ascent Systems Inc. we know that our products must be priced competitively, but we also realize "low bid" is not what is typically best for the customer.  Low bid generally results in lower quality, lower utility, higher maintenance, and less user-friendly components.  With good communication from the outset, matching the best system with the project's budget, we can assure a successful system that will provide great service for years to come.

Take a few moments to review the components we typically offer on the High Reach system; the sum of the parts is what makes an exhaust removal systems that offers true value.

NOTE: High Reach systems are a valid solution for facilities with a very high percentage, or exclusive, vertical stack fleet base.  If both vertical stack and undercarriage connections are common, the Fleet Vacuum Holster may be a better, more versatile colution.

The hose next to the capture hood is not only the hottest part of the exhaust flow, but also where the hose is often bent at a high angle to accommodate the connection to the exhaust pipe.
Our High Reach System can be provided with a large range of hose diameters and temperature ratings (more on this below).   A secondary sleeve can be provided to cover the section of primary exhaust hose that is located above the capture hood, to keep the hose from high wear and kinking.

Exhaust Hose Selection
 Capture Hood
Typically 6" or 8" high temperature silicon-based exhaust hose is provided.   Diameters of most any size are available, and temperature ratings in excess of 2,000F can be provided.
The oversized "mouth" or inlet is important in providing additional ambient air to be mixed with the hot exhaust.  This mixing considerably extends the life of the exhaust hose by lowering the airstream temperature.

Located at the mouth of the inlet, a thick cuff of high temperature silicon assures that standard or chrome exhaust pipes are not scratched.

A lifting pole provides the service technician with an easy method to place and remove the Capture Hood.

Lifting Mechanism
 Fan and Controls
Hose Hoist balancers include a locking mechanism and offer easy exhaust hose placement and retraction.

A ratchet winch offers a safety brake feature with lock-in-place gears.  Cable and pulleys are supplied.
Ascent Systems offers a wide range of quality exhaust fans that are AMCA certified and Class II rated.  For a no-hassle installation, we typically proivde the outlet birdscreen piece, vibration isolators, 3R disconnect safety switch, and fan on-off controls.
